After a couple of weeks use the paint is starting to come off. Not the best quality of workmanship, but it does perform its function: protecting the phone surface from minor damage. The color is from black spray paint on the plastic.

Overall, however, it works and is a good value. The snap-on case works well to protect the phone if dropped or from general wear and tear, but the case itself still gets scratched easily. It also attracts dust and traps it between the phone and the case.
